COVID-19 Update - 10/04/20

The MCC staff and elders are continuing to adapt our ministry strategy as circumstances warrant - our goal is to continue cultivating spaces for us to Belong, shaping our Beliefs by Jesus, and equipping each of us to Bring the Good News to those around us, while still loving our neighbor through social distancing efforts.

Currently we are in Phase 3.5 of Relaunch.  This is Phase 3 with the inclusion of KidsTown.

If you have more questions, contact Jeff or Alex.

MCC Relaunch Phases

Important Guiding Principles

  1. God is sovereign, He cares about us, and we want to follow His Plan. (Luke 12:22-26, Prov. 19:20-21)

  2. Social-distancing slows the spread of the COVID-19 virus which is particularly dangerous for the elderly if our medical facilities become overwhelmed. We can love our neighbors by self-sacrificing our convenience to slow the spread for the sake of the marginalized. (Mark 12:30-31, James 1:27)

  3. Followers of Jesus are commanded to gather together for worshipping God, for encouragement, and to spur one another to greater love. (Eph. 5:18-20, Heb. 10:24-25)

  4. Each person has different convictions about what is best for themselves and their families. Those convictions should be honored and not used as weapons against one another. Rather, we should interact with those who think differently from us with humility and love. (Romans 14)

Continued Giving

As our country continues to experience financial turmoil, businesses are losing profits, and workers lose their jobs, now more than ever we are called to be generous with our financial resources.  You can continue to give to MCC securely through Tithe.ly, our online platform, or by mailing your checks to the church building.  We encourage you to give to the general fund, to the benevolent fund, and to KôZ Intl. (Mark Young) as they are feeding vulnerable families who cannot work right now among the poor in Manila, Philippines.
