About Us

Who are we?

MiddleCross Church is a Christian & Missionary Alliance Church. Started as a loose knit missionary movement by Presbyterian Rev. Albert Benjamin Simpson in 1887, the C&MA formally organized as a denomination much later after the death of A. B. Simpson in 1919. The C&MA emphasizes the fourfold gospel of Jesus Christ as savior, sanctifier, healer, and coming King, the need for overseas missions, and God's calling of all to a deeper life of being set apart for the sake of His Kingdom.

What ministries do you offer?

Our ministries grow as God leads us. Currently we invest in people through a strong children's and youth ministry, LifeGroup ministries for adults, Wednesday night Prayer meeting, men's and women's ministries, the MiddleCross Life Enrichment Academy, and weekend worship services. We believe that anyone who serves is a leader. We invest in their growth as a person and encourage their continued spiritual journey to personally know God better. We recognize that all people are on a journey in life and we encourage everyone to grow in their pathway toward God.

Why start another church?

Lincoln has several great churches and MiddleCross Church is not competing for people who regularly attend a church. A quick study reveals that if all the churches in Lincoln filled their building to capacity for every service there would still be approximately 185,000 people not attending church on Sunday morning. Our desire at MiddleCross is to be a different kind of church that reaches out to people who haven't yet found a church home. If you are looking for a church where you can be transparent and authentic and if you have your share of hurts, habits and hang-ups, then MiddleCross Church might be a place you can call home!

What is a church planting center? And what does that mean?

A church planting center is a church that has an intentional focus of starting other churches and helping other churches start churches. It is clear that starting new churches is the most effective way of encouraging people who are not attending a church in their spiritual journey. As we continue this adventure of starting new churches in the area, we hope that many others will join us on the journey. If you have any questions, feel free to call us at 402-420-2190. May God richly bless you as you seek Him in every day living!
